Our mission is to be a guiding light for low income families within our community, by helping with basic needs, creating a safe space and opportunities for them to thrive by offering mentors, educational programs and healthy meals.

The Guiding Light Foundation After School Tutor/Mentor Program offers our youth after school activities which include: help with homework, help with studying for upcoming test, a safe space to have fun playing games, arts & crafts and participation in the GLF Reading Room Book Club. Snacks are included in the program.
Our Youth Athletic Program promotes leadership development, self confidence, teaches responsibility, being part of a team, prepares for future basketball, cheer/dance/Pom Pom & team experiences.
Your generous donation will help the GLF with accommodating 25-30 children participating in the GLF After School Tutor/Mentor & Keeping Kids Fed Programs, the GLF Book Club and the youth athletic programs. With these programs our goal is to help our GLF youth achieve academic excellence.
Your donations help to provide school supplies, books for the GLF Reading Room Book Club, food/snacks, art & craft supplies, water bottles, Smart board, storage shelves & basketball equipment , cheer & basketball uniforms & so much more.
We are so grateful for what our sponsors have helped us accomplish up to now. From monetary donations to help sponsor our Basketball, Cheer Summer Camp & Birthday Skate parties to lending out their community center gym space for camps & practices for our youth basketball, cheer and tumbling programs.
It takes a village and we are thankful for our village.
